Learning the Art of Meditation (MARIANNE BRADY) Foundation

Meditation is a way of awakening to who we really are and directly feeding and nurturing the seed of our own inner potential. In this course we will learn and explore meditations that engage different facets of our experience to do this: body, voice, image, the elements, breath, reflection – all can be a way of accessing our own expansive inner richness and well being.

Introduction to Meditation (MARIANNE BRADY) Introduction

The purpose of meditation is not to pacify or calm us – the real purpose of meditation is to wake us up and bring us to life in a fuller and more lucid way.

This is an introduction to two ancient meditation practices that are easily learnt but radical in their positive effects.

Meditation in the Sanctuary (JULIAN WILLMORE) Foundation

Working with inspired meditations and mindfulness practice, these sessions balance spiritual and personal development. They include guidance from Julian’s Tibetan spirit teacher Linpur, using sound as a path to higher consciousness.

Tuesdays 7pm, 10 weeks 6 May - 8 July
Saturdays 1.30pm, 10 weeks 10 May - 12 July

Yoga, Prana & Psychic Energy (SWAMI SARADANANDA) Foundation

Yoga is a system of practical techniques to help you to control and direct the psychic energies within your body, in order to attain higher states of consciousness. Introducing the yogic techniques of pranayama, mudras, bandhas and meditation, you will be learn how to use your breath for inner purification, mental concentration and spiritual growth. You will also explore the yogic understanding of the three bodies, with particular focus on the astral body, the nadis (psychic channels) and the chakras.

Swami Saradananda has trained yoga teachers around the world and written several books, including Yoga Mind and Body and Chakra Meditation. She is president of the British Yoga Teachers Association. These sessions are held monthly to give time for practice before moving on to the next lesson.
