| DR MANJIR SAMANTA-LAUGHTON: Punk Science - Exploring the Psychic Field |
|
More and more people are discovering their inner psychic potential, but what exactly are these abilities? Dr Manjir Samanta-Laughton discusses cutting-edge scientific theories that explain mystical phenomena such as mediumship, psychic abilities, channelling, distance healing and more.
Using the principles that are found in quantum physics, string theory and others, she will explain how esoteric topics not only have a scientific explanation, but also demonstrate a deeper level of our universe and our connection to it. Don’t worry if you don’t know much about science. This lecture is fresh and accessible! |

| MANUEL SCHOCH: Modern Meditation |
|
The secret of modern meditation is the practice of direct observation whereby one observes everything: body/sensations, mind/thoughts and feelings, including the gaps and space of emptiness in between, with no reaction or interference. What modern meditation gives you beyond all the proven health benefits is the ability to bring balance into your life; increasing awareness, making you feel connected, alive, fresh, relaxed and vital at all levels.
Modern meditation is the most natural thing one can do and does not need any previous knowledge, experience, rituals, techniques or mantras. It is highly recommended for everyone from all walks of life. |

| DONALD MCKINNEY: The Power of Place |
|
There is power in the land. Known to our ancestors, our landscape is littered with standing stones, brochs and cairns as evidence. Today we have all but lost this understanding. Based on study of the Ancient Celts, Donald explores how these sites were originally located. He shows how we can use ley lines, rivers, mountain tops and natural signs to identify these places. He explores why we feel drawn to these places and how they can still help us today in our spiritual quest.
Donald McKinney is the convenor of the Celtic Circle, one of the largest global gatherings of people interested in matters Celtic. Author of ‘Walking the Mist’ and ‘Celtic Angels’ he presents talks and workshops throughout Ireland, North America and the UK. |
