Spirit’s Progress or the Journey of The Fool - Avril Price
Avril will explore ideas around the migration that we make as Spirit, moving from the non-physical to the manifest. We will also discuss various Tarot symbols and images that support these ideas. We are Spirit on an incredible journey, and we the life experiences we go through as part of that journey shape and hone our consciousness. You will have the opportunity to deepen your own awareness of your life path and examine the components of your own potential. Avril will draw from her experiences as a Psychic Medium and her interest in the Spiritualist Movement, as well as her many years as a tarot consultant.
Avril Price has been ‘growing with Tarot’ for over 25 years. Avril believes that Tarot finds us and not the other way around. She is passionate about working with Tarot to raise awareness of the journey of Spirit in its physical manifestation. Avril facilitates courses and workshops in Tarot, and teaches Psychic Development and Mediumship. She gives demonstrations in churches and centres as well as at the College, where she is a tutor.
Archetypes: Keys to the Consciousness - Martin Jeffrey
An interactive workshop in which you’ll explore your own consciousness and archetypes by using Tarot. How can we use Tarot to re-programme ourselves and our future? What does it say about our life now? This exciting workshop will show you how to use the tarot for other purposes than divination and ultimately find your key to happiness.
Martin Jeffrey learnt about divination as a child through an old pack of playing cards from his grandmother, and has been a tarot and card reader ever since. Over the last ten years Martin has been exploring the historical aspects of the tarot and also its links within the human consciousness. For more information see www. senseoflife.co.uk
Web of Life - Emily Carding
Using the Transparent Tarot and Transparent Oracle together Emily will explore ways we can use Tarot and Oracles to help widen our view and understanding of the universe, magick and Spirit. This includes the elements, the seven directions, the microcosm/macrocosm and the web of life.
Emily Carding is the author and artist behind The Tarot of the Sidhe, The Transparent Oracle and the internationally acclaimed Transparent Tarot. She has been reading Tarot since 1997. Her interest in Tarot lies in the mystical nature of symbology and the power of images to unlock the subconscious. Her visionary art has appeared in magazines and on book covers, and she has contributed essays to various anthologies on esoteric themes, including Both Sides of Heaven and From a Drop of Water. She is currently working on the Neverland Tarot.
Tarot Art - Cilla Conway
Cilla will discuss art in Tarot and her experience as a tarot artist.
Cilla Conway wanted to be an artist from age 5, but couldn’t find work so painted in the evenings. Unbidden, The Fool appeared on her drawing pad one evening, bringing with him the breath of enchantment. The next evening The Magician emerged. It took some years to complete the deck, but the strange magic Cilla could feel as she painted the cards has never left her. She found them amazingly accurate in readings, and still uses them today in her tarot counselling practice. The deck was published in 2004 as The Intuitive Tarot, and she began her second deck, The Devas of Creation. These cards depict the ‘Shining Ones’ (multi-dimensional entities in the universe) and are a powerful way to connect to higher-level energies. The cards work together with the tarot, or as a meditation aid. She also teaches art and is preparing The Devas for publication. First and foremost, however, she is an artist. |
