Today we will explore and develop the art of working with Spirit in the altered state of consciousness. Trance mediumship is one of the oldest forms of Spirit communication and is as relevant today as it was in the past. Generally, people think of trance communication as philosophy but that is just a small part of the work. During this workshop we will look at all the aspects of trance communication from sittings to guidance and beyond. We will also cover the mechanics and different layers of trance control. Previous experience of trance an advantage but not needed.

The day will start with smudging to cleanse and low-key drumming to build the energy, followed by a meditation on connecting with animal totems. The workshop includes the use of feathers, herbs, rattles, drums and bells, and various animal skins to work a form of shape-shifting. You will work with your own spiritual and physical energies to learn how to heal, and listen to animal spirits and new guides which may come to you. This workshop, based on Ivy Northage’s teaching, will encompass working with opening the chakras, cleansing, tuning In, protecting and closing down methods and breathing techniques. These will all be supported by practical exercises. We will work on the psychic level exploring Auric Readings, Psychometry, Flower Readings and Auragraphs. In this workshop we will not be working on the clairvoyant level, but working towards it by developing the lower Chakras and understanding their uses before moving onto working with higher vibrations in Part 2. Students must have completed the workshop Introduction to Energy Work or have an understanding of how the chakra system works.
