…stepping through the Yuletide wreath into the enchanted woodland.
On the eve of the new moon and solar eclipse we will gather to connect, creating affirmations as the wheel turns for Yule.
Winter is the season of stillness and surrender. All of nature is quieting down. The deciduous trees are bare, berries have been picked off the trees and bushes, and nuts stored away. It is the evergreens, in their resplendent glory representative of life, which hold strength and space over this dark time.
We invite you into this enchanting workshop to explore the mystery of the trees and plant medicine at this darker and colder time of the year. Fiona and Karen will help you to explore the medicine and vibration of each seasonal herb and the unique gifts each one has to offer:
Holly – The holly king is robust and jolly but fiercely protective. Honouring the holly at this time could represent courage and protection for the coming months.
Pine – To keep us strong and protected from disease with its medicinal resinous scent.
Ivy – Ivy flowers during the long winter months and is an important source of pollen for the bees. It is thus known to promote fertility, a wish for the coming spring.
Mistletoe – Mistletoe is a familiar sight at Christmas time. It seems that from time immemorial this semi-parasitic plant has amazed and inspired the people that live with it. We shall observe some ancient customs, folklore, legends and rituals observed around this sacred plant, creating our own special spells with its essence.
