The breath is our lifelong companion. It connects our inner and outer worlds. In this recorded talk, you will journey into the breath to explore why and how it restores, regulates and centres you so effectively.

Breath helps connect our body with our emotions and psyche, and our spirit with the earth. In this recorded talk, Anatomy & Physiology Tutor Doe Warnes takes you on a journey into the breath and respiratory system. You'll examine, through a holistic lens, commonly held perceptions of the body. You'll find out how and why we breathe, and explore how breath can restore inner balance, regulate our emotions and deepen our relationship to self, others and nature.

Doe Warnes looks at the human body from an esoteric, holistic, embodied and scientific perspective. She draws on 40 years experience of working with eastern and western healing disciplines, which include anatomy and physiology, Shiatsu, Chinese Medicine, energy work and somatic movement. It has been her personal experience that an understanding of how the body works offers resources that give a sense of grounding and integrate body/mind/spirit/earth.

'Breath is the bridge which connects life to consciousness, which unites your body to your thoughts.' Thich Nhat Hanh
