Kate Southworth is an Irish/British artist based in Cornwall. She makes paintings, rituals and spells that explore the structures and contents of the psyche; in particular the unseen vibrating web beyond the familiar mundane world. Her work has been disseminated nationally and internationally.
Kate has taught at universities in London, Dublin and Cornwall and has given talks on contemporary art at Tate St. Ives, Tate Britain and Tate Modern. She has a PhD in Fine Art from the University of Leeds.
