Hauntology is an artistic movement that has gathered momentum over the past 10 years.

It harks back to a spectral time between 1968 – 1981 when in post psychedelic Britain there was a resurgence of interest in the paranormal and the occult.

Hanutology deals with parallel worlds, isolated rural communities, BBC radiophonic workshops which produced oddly creepy and experimental tones, psychedelic folk and haunted landscapes.

It is a cultural movement that celebrates a particular atheistic quality.

In this talk Demian will explore these themes and the movement with video and audio examples to really capture what hauntology means and how we can all gain an appreciation for it.
