The modern world, through our cosmological understanding of our place in the universe, stands on an existential crisis of lack of meaning. This is affecting both the mental and physical health of people.

Without meaning, it is difficult to find purpose in life and both are traditionally seen as essential to health.

Shamanistic cultures offer us a gift, in that their whole world view is imbued with meaning and purpose. The landscape and everything that surrounds them is alive, full of signs that can be read and interpreted, with humans sitting at the heart of a complicated ecological and spiritual relationship with all of life.

In this talk we will explore how this interrelationship can gift humans true meaning and purpose, especially in the context of difficult and painful experiences.

Through this, healing can naturally occur and with it a path of service - the path of the shaman- to further enhance the lives of both individuals and communities.

This talk is taking place in-person at our college in London
