This workshop will appeal to those who have previously attended Derek's Voice, Sound and Consciousness events, or who have trained in sound as a healer or therapist. Not suitable to a complete beginner in this field.
Communicating with intention and truth challenges us daily, whether we are using our voices directly in sound healing, as counsellor, teacher, or howsoever we choose to manifest our spiritual voice. Elements hidden within the vocal mechanism, if correctly and freely released, can unfold transformation and enhance personal growth. These elements are tools that can be used for ourselves and others.
Derek will share the knowledge and skill of his many years working as an international voice coach and sound healer combined with his personal exploration of the sound healing techniques of world cultures. As well as guidance through demonstration, there will be opportunities for group work and for each participant to experience the empowerment of exploring their potential in practice. At the end of the day everyone will take away a practical toolkit of exercises to carry their work forward.
This is mainly an experiential workshop but there will supporting explanation and theory. Highly developed vocal skills are not necessary, but each participant will be encouraged to contribute to the process, discover and learn.
