Meet the Celtic goddess of the Otherworld, Rhiannon, and experience her lunar energies in this livestream talk.
Enveloped in mystery, Rhiannon's origins are obscure. There are no known ancient prayers or rituals in her honour, nor devotional temples, altars or votives dedicated to her.
From the Middle Welsh tales known as Y Mabinogi to a comparative study of similar goddesses both from adjacent and precursor cultures, Jhenah will share her knowledge and research into this legendary Welsh figure and how we can approach and know her as a goddess.
Through examination of Rhiannon's mythology, linguistic evidence and identification of Medieval elements in order to discern Rhiannon's provenance, Jhenah guides us on an informative and celebratory journey to meet this mysterious goddess.
