Marseille Tarot Intermediate

In this six-week online intermediate course, we'll deepen our friendship with the Marseille Tarot, developing a richer, more comfortable familiarity with this unique system of cartomancy.

The Marseille Tarot is one of the oldest tarot traditions, distinguished by simple, symbol-based minor arcana and bold, archetypal major arcana figures. Because it offers so little in the way of pictured narrative, reading the Marseille Tarot well depends heavily on the reader themselves: their attentiveness to numerology, character and symbol, and their ability to weave these details into a coherent, meaningful story. 

At an intermediate level, this shifts the focus from simply learning card meanings to refining the craft of the reading itself – how a reader's own presence, critical thinking and storytelling shape what a spread reveals. It's this deeper, more nuanced relationship with the cards that turns technical knowledge into genuine fluency.

Meet your tutor, Bel Senlle

Bel Senlle is a London-based Argentinian artist, tarot reader and esoteric teacher, and the creator of the Claridad tarot deck (published in English by Watkins and distributed by Penguin Random House). Bel has presented at international tarot and esoteric conferences across Europe and the Americas, and her work exploring the intersection of art, ritual and visual magic makes her ideally placed to guide students deeper into the visual, symbol-rich language of the Marseille Tarot.
