Using psychometry we can learn to read the history of an object by the sense of touch. Usually a small personal object is used, such as a watch, ring, key, letter or even a lock of hair.
The basis of psychometry is that an object retains the energy of what has happened to it and its owner(s) over time. By touching it you connect to this energy and history. This is then channelled to your heart centre and triggers feelings, sensations and visions. Psychometry is more widely used in the USA than in this country by psychic detectives to uncover information about missing people and crimes, using personal items such as clothing from the victim, or their photograph.
This course will take you on a journey over 10 weeks to learn how to connect by touch with the energy of an object, enabling the object to tell you their story.
We will start by learning how to relax our mind, so that you are able to open your senses up easily through your hands. We all have the ability to feel things through our hands, for instance, when we meet someone for the first time and gain a strong impression about them when shaking their hand. What we will work on developing is the connection between your senses and your hands. We will then move on to working with the information gathered by your senses when you touch an object and weave this into a story, describing the energy you have detected.
Psychometry is a very powerful tool and needs to be used with care and consideration. Therefore, having developed your abilities, we will then address how to use your new-found power wisely and in a considerate manner. This course is suitable for people with a curiosity around objects and their history.
You will need to have a basic knowledge of psychic development and of your chakras, for example by having attended a foundation course in psychic/mediumistic development. Please bring along one or two objects with history to each class (the older the object the better) that you would like to know more about.
