There is an increasing amount of pressure as we move deeper into the Aquarian Age - the current era in Kundalini Yoga teachings. This era is defined by freedom of information, decentralisation, a crumbling of hierarchical systems, a shift from the individual to the community and a total reset of the status quo.
We started moving into it from the Piscean Age in 2011. With these huge shifts in our external and internal landscapes comes an immense amount of stress and pressure as we try to cope.
In this kundalini workshop, we practice specific movements, meditations and mantras to reset our nervous system and align our body and mind systems with the energy and harmonics of the times. We learn strategies to help us synchronise with the freedom and compassion of the Aquarian Age.
This workshop is for everyone, regardless of level or ability.
All you need to practise is an open mind and willing spirit. You may find some of the movements challenging but always worth your best efforts. There will be chairs available for those who find it uncomfortable sitting on the floor/yoga mat for extended periods of time. Please wear comfy clothes appropriate for movement.
I have worked with many styles of yoga - from Ashtanga to Vinyasa for more than ten years and teach Kundalini and general hatha yoga. When not teaching yoga I write regular magazine features for Om Yoga, Yoga and Everyday Health.
