Witch bottles have been used for protection against negative magic and ill-wishes since the middle ages, and remain popular in modern magic. Discover the tactile world of witch bottles in this livestream talk.

There is a long tradition of magic being practiced in the home - spells and charms to protect the home from maleficum are the most common, as well as spells to bring in wealth and love. Evidence of these spells have been found buried in the foundations of the houses. They are known as witch bottles, and are attested in archaeology and in textual records. However, modern practice has continued to use them for positive outcomes as well.

This richly illustrated online talk looks at historical and modern examples of witch bottles. Rebecca will also demonstrate how we can make our own personalised witch bottle at home.
