Come along to the College for this in-person talk with the former editor of frieze, Jennifer Higgie, and meet the most spiritually influential female artists in history.

In this in-person talk, Jennifer will introduce you to a group of extraordinary historical female influencers, including 12th-century mystic Hildegard of Bingen, 19th-century Spiritualist and founder of The College of Psychic Studies Georgiana Houghton, and 20th-century Swedish artist Hilma af Klint.

These artists all shared the same goal: to communicate with, and learn from, other dimensions. In doing so, they risked their reputations and even their lives. Jennifer Higgie will guide you on an exploration of these special artists' lives and works.

In this talk, Jennifer will shine a light on otherworldly experiences. She will discuss the solace of ritual, the gender exclusions of art history, the contemporary relevance of myth, and the boom in alternative ways of understanding the world and the impact of spiritualism on feminism and contemporary art.

This talk is taking place in-person at our college in London

You can find the address and travel directions on our contact page - we'll also include all the information in your enrolment email.
