Astrology for Shadow Work

Astrology is not about superstition, prediction or favouring certain star signs. It is a symbolic language of the psyche and a powerful framework for conscious shadow work. This livestream workshop shows you how to combine astrology and the shadow.

In this workshop, Tree Carr guides you to use astrology as a tool for shadow exploration and psychological integration, drawing on Jungian psychology, transpersonal theory and astrological archetypes. Together, we will explore what the shadow is, how it forms, and why engaging with it is essential for growth, creativity and emotional maturity.

This online workshop includes:

• Carl Jung's interest in astrology as a valid transpersonal system
• How planetary archetypes reflect inner dynamics of the unconscious 
• The shadow archetypes of each planet and how they can express unconsciously or destructively when unexamined – as well as how they transform when met with awareness
• Retrogrades as particularly potent times for shadow work. Rather than being something to fear or avoid, retrograde periods offer natural invitations for reflection, revision and reintegration – moments when buried material rises to the surface, asking to be understood rather than bypassed.

We will explore each zodiac sign through both light and shadow expressions. Rather than reinforcing astrological bias or personality labels, Tree's approach reframes the shadow side of each sign as an opportunity for what she calls 'Astro Alchemy' – a process aligned with Jung's concept of individuation, where unconscious traits are integrated and the shadow is transmuted into its highest archetypal expression.

You will also learn which houses and planetary placements are most strongly associated with shadow dynamics, and how engaging with these areas of your own birth chart can offer insight into power, desire, fear, repression and transformation.
