Witch bottles have been used for protection against negative magic and ill-wishes since the middle ages. Discover the tactile world of witch bottles in this 2-part online workshop.

There is a long tradition of magic being practiced in the home - spells and charms to protect the home from maleficum are the most common, as well as spells to bring in wealth and love. Evidence of these spells have been found buried in the foundations of the houses. They are known as witch bottles, and are attested in archaeology and in textual records. However, modern practice has continued to use them for positive outcomes as well.

This 2-part online workshop includes:

  • Historical and modern examples of witch bottles
  • The many fascinating uses for witch bottles
  • How to make your own personalised witch bottle at home

Book now to develop a strong working knowledge of how to construct a magical witch bottle for several purposes. You'll leave this workshop with confidence in the practices that resonate most strongly with you.

We will not be recording this workshop. One of the unique aspects of the College's online events is that they are highly interactive. Participants are encouraged to discuss and share with the tutor and the group. These sharings can be very personal, and some may not feel comfortable with them being recorded.
