Manex Ibar is a Basque Sorgin, or shaman. His path took him from the Basque country in the Southwest of France to the Americas where he discovered and was initiated in the indigenous ways (Lakota, Shashone, Algonquin, Shipibo, Queros, Bon amongst others). During a ceremonial dance, the Naraya, Manex was told by spirit to go back to the Basque country to immerse himself with the spirits there and rediscover his own roots. It has been 12 years since Manex moved back to the Basque country to go deeper into the myths and the sacred places and has become a recognized international shaman, clairvoyant, and consciousness expert.

Basque mythology is rich with symbolism, figures, and lore. With cave painting dating back 35,000 years that have been interpreted as shamanic communication of some sort with animals, Basque 'shamanic'� practices are very ancient.

Some of the rituals have been lost or mixed, yet there are some symbols, understanding and practices that have stayed strong. In this workshop, learn about the Basque Cross - Laburu - and its great wisdom of the circle of life. We'll explore the cromlech's and the wisdom of the medicine wheels that are left in different sacred places in the Basque mountains.

And finally, we will explore the power of Akerbeltz, the 'devil'� or the black he-goat that gives access to the Goddess principle and earth based wisdom.
