This course builds real confidence, discipline and structure in mediumship. It's for those ready to go beyond the basics and step into the true foundations of evidential mediumship – moving from 'making the link' as a beginner medium, to holding the link, understanding how spirit communicates, and delivering clearer, stronger evidence.

What to expect

This course shifts a developing medium from trying to trusting, from feeling to knowing, and from learning to becoming. Each class is structured to include guided meditation, enjoyable exercises, pair and group work, discussion, shared reflection and Q&A.

Who is this course for?

This course is for those who have completed a beginner course at The College of Psychic Studies or who have learned the basics elsewhere, and are ready to step into the true foundations of evidential mediumship. The Medium's Path: Foundation course syllabus

• Week 1 | Deepening the power & holding the blend
  • Learn to sustain your connection with the communicator, recognise energetic shifts, and build trust in the link. The focus is consistency, sensitivity and stability within the power.

• Week 2 | The language of spirit
  • Become fluent in how the spirit world truly communicates. You will explore:
    • How spirit uses symbols, memory, emotion and sensation
    • How to interpret without leading or guessing
    • Developing a personal "spirit dictionary"
    • Translating energetic impressions into clear evidence
    • Understanding personality, tone and intention

• Week 3 | Evidential accuracy & specifics
  • Sharpening your ability to bring through people, not vague energy. We will refine and strengthen evidence by focusing on:
    • Specific, meaningful details
    • Personality traits and emotional essence
    • Validating relationships and shared memories
    • Clear, confident delivery
    • Knowing the difference between psychic and mediumistic information

• Week 4 | Expanding & strengthening the clairs
  • The aim: using the clairs consciously within the reading – not passively. You will build each clair into a reliable tool:
    • Clairvoyance becomes sharper inner and outer sight
    • Clairsentience reveals personality, emotion and physical traits
    • Clairaudience strengthens names, phrases and tones
    • Claircognisance becomes trusted direct knowing

• Week 5 | Structure, flow & communication style
  • This pillar creates confident mediums who can communicate clearly and respectfully. You will learn to:
    • Build a structured contact
    • Keep the evidence flowing naturally
    • Move through a reading with confidence
    • Blend personality, emotion and memory into meaningful messages
    • Know when to stay with the link and when to move on

• Week 6 | Ethics, presence & spiritual responsibility
  • This ensures the medium works with integrity, compassion, and grounded awareness. As you step into deeper work, we will embed real professionalism:
    • Creating a safe environment for the sitter
    • Boundaries, sensitivity and emotional awareness
    • Honouring the communicator
    • Energetic hygiene and self-care
    • Managing nerves, self-doubt and any pressure

Meet your tutor, TJ Higgs

You may recognise professional medium TJ Higgs from her many TV appearances, including Psychic Private Eyes and The Three Mediums. With over 25 years of experience, TJ is known for her grounded approach, deep compassion and commitment to evidential mediumship. A renowned personality in the industry, she has demonstrated her mediumship on screen, via radio, and in front of large theatre audiences around the world.

• This course is open to those who have completed any Beginner course and/or Foundation course at the College.
• It is the ideal next step for those who have completed The Medium's Path for Beginners.
• Those who are confident in the basics of spiritual practice are welcome to join.

Exclusively live online classes

We will not be recording these classes. One of the unique aspects of the College's online courses is that they are highly interactive. Participants are encouraged to discuss and share with the tutor and the group. These sharings can be very personal, and some may not feel comfortable with them being recorded. If you need to miss any sessions, your tutor will be happy to offer a brief outline of the material covered.
