Sunday 2 August 2020
11:00am - 4:00pm

This is a three-part workshop taking place on the 2nd, 9th and 23rd August 2020. Each day will start at 11am and finish at 4pm.

A special opportunity to learn about the folk magic of the old ways with Edwin Courtenay Cunning Man.

In this special online three-part apprenticeship, Edwin will teach about the ancient wisdom of the Cunning Folk, the wise village seers, healers and spell casters who populated the British Isles from the 15th century onwards.

Charting their mystical ways and practices and the origins of their magic from Medieval and Celtic England and Ireland to the ancient times of Atlantis and Lemuria. Edwin will present a system of magic that will reveal the old practices of the Cunning Folk in a new and modern light, bringing their rituals and ceremonies up to date so that they are relevant and practical in our modern era.

We will focus on:

  • Magical, psychical and spiritual development
  • The creation of sacred elemental space
  • Working with the “Spirit Meadow” the other world realm of power from which the Cunning Folk source their magic
  • Magical healing techniques for the self, others and the world
  • Magical manifestation techniques
  • Identifying and clearing negative energies and entities
  • The Magical signs and symbols of the Cunning Folk
  • The magic of the saints, the ancient Watcher Angels and the Old Gods
  • Live Trance channellings

And much, much more.

Parts one and two will build to create a personal Cunning Folk practice that participants will be encouraged to sample in the space provided between parts two and three. Enabling all to explore on their own for a while the ways of the Cunning Folk before gathering one last time to further cement their journey on the “crooked path”.

Edwin will provide support - via email - between workshops as well as providing his course notes as PDF documents to all those who attend to create their own Cunning Folk Spell book - in the tradition of the Cunning Folks “Black Book” - which was said to contain spells and incantations from the lost books of Moses from the Bible.

With the aid of his spiritual teacher, Edwin will initiate and guide those present into the ancient ways of the Cunning Folk, opening their eyes forever to a new way of seeing and living magically in the mundane world.

This workshop will be live on Zoom. All you need to take part is a computer with a webcam and microphone.

Edwin Courtenay

Edwin would describe himself as one of the "Cunning Folk" a term used in the 15th century to describe those naturally gifted with psychic, spiritual and mystical abilities which they would use to help those in their community. A Pagan-a follower of the old ways of nature and the world-and a practising magician, Edwin works with ritual, ceremony, chant and song to heal and awaken, empower and transform.
