Building on the essentials, the Tarot Intermediate course takes you deeper into the world of tarot. You'll learn new spreads, explore your birth and name numbers and discover what they reveal within a tarot context. Alongside this, you'll have the opportunity to develop your intuitive skills and take a richer, more nuanced look at the meanings of the cards.

What to expect

Over 10 livestream classes, you'll strengthen your relationship with your tarot deck and build trust and confidence in your practice. Classes are interactive and supportive, blending teaching with hands-on pair and group work. A highlight of the course is an individual project working with the Major Arcana, which you'll share with the group at the end of term. It's an opportunity to bring together everything you've learned and see how far your practice has come.

Who is this course for?

This course is for students who have completed the Tarot Foundation course, or who already have a working knowledge of the cards and are ready to ground and deepen that foundation. Where Tarot Foundation works specifically with the traditional Rider Waite Smith deck, you can use a deck of your choice throughout the course.

Meet your tutor, Avril Price

Tarot Master Avril Price has had a deep and abiding passion for tarot for over 40 years. She trained at The College of Psychic Studies, and has gone on to become a psychic medium, platform medium and experienced facilitator of tarot studies and psychic development. Her approach is psycho-spiritual, exploring how life experience shapes the journey of the spirit, and she is the author of The Watkins Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot Coloring Book (Watkins Publishing, 2024).

Exclusively live online classes

We will not be recording these classes. One of the unique aspects of the College's online courses is that they are highly interactive. Participants are encouraged to discuss and share with the tutor and the group. These sharings can be very personal, and some may not feel comfortable with them being recorded. If you need to miss any sessions, your tutor will be happy to offer a brief outline of the material covered.
